cognitively and physically, through their early learning years"

Miss Heather
I am the primary preschool teacher and Director of Busy Bees Childcare. I have been employed at Busy Bees since 2008 and take great pride in my work with the children, families and the community.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Hesser College (Portsmouth, NH) and have lived in the Seacoast area all my life. I have two wonderful children, Rorie and Ronnie, who both attended Busy Bees Childcare from infancy through preschool. I love planning a fun and engaging curriculum for our students and tailoring it to suit their individual needs.
We follow the 5210, Let’s Go! program and have proudly reached gold status! I hope to teach children to be respectful and responsible members of our community and will strive to provide a balanced curriculum that encompasses all areas of learning while following Maine Early Learning Guidelines.

Miss Candi
I work with the early preschool group at Busy Bees and have been in the Early Care and Education field for several years. I attended NHTI in Concord NH for Early Childhood Education. I currently have 15 ECE credits and my coursework included; Dynamics of activity centered learning, curriculum development, children's literature and health and safety basics. I am a member of Maine Roads to Quality and continue to take workshops and classes for further professional development. I like to keep a clean and organized classroom and participate in daily exercise activities. We do a lot of exploring and pretend play in the classroom and often get messy with creative arts. We work together to solve complex problems, complete daily tasks and talk a lot about feelings and kindness. Aside from school, I have 3 boys and two dogs who keep me on my toes. I love the beach, hiking with family and gardening outdoors.

Miss Amanda
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with children. I am very passionate about teaching and love to be creative with my work. I believe that children need love and compassion first and foremost and promise to always make that a priority.
In 2009 I attended the New Hampshire Institute of Art for 5 years and there I received my BFA in painting and my K-12 teaching degree. I have worked in the public school system as a long term art substitute as well as a float for several years. I have experience as an infant/toddler teacher as well as a pre-k teacher. I absolutely love what I do and am always striving to be better!
I have lived on the seacoast with my husband and 1 year old son for several years now and absolutely love it up here. We are a very outdoorsy family and love to hike camp and fish in our free time. We travel often and love making new memories with our family.
I just recently joined Busy Bees and I am so excited to start this new journey and to meet all the new students!

Miss Sami

Infant/Toddler Teachers
It is our hope is to make the Infant/Toddler Classroom a place where your little ones feel loved, nurtured and safe. We work with parents to provide a smooth transition into childcare and establish drop off and pickup routines that are predictable yet flexible. Your child's most basic needs will always come first. We offer age appropriate materials and toys to explore with and discover new things. We keep our routines consistent and venture outside into our "green space" as often as we can. On nice days we will take walks to the farm to see the ducks, chickens and cows. It is our hope that you and your child will enjoy Busy Bees as much as we do!
"Miss Sami" our Infant/Toddler Room teacher joined our Busy Bees teaching staff in September of 2020 and has been a great addition to our talented teaching team! Miss Sami holds an Associate's Degree in Early Education and enjoys planning a fun and engaging, play based curriculum. Miss Sami looks forward to meeting new students and welcoming them into the classroom.
Substitute Teacher-
Miss Cindy
I take my job as an early caregiver very seriously. Interacting with children, hearing their stories and watching them grow during their time at school gives me great joy. I value the relationships built with parents and appreciate their feedback and involvement. I am committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can feel loved and be themselves. Whether I am preparing bottles, rubbing backs at nap time, creating lego masterpieces or reading stories I know my work is important and that children benefit from caring relationships.
I live locally with my husband and have two children who are grown. I have a wonderful grandchild and a fur baby named Izzy who keep me busy when I am not at school. I love to read in my spare time and enjoy the changing seasons in New England.
Miss Beth
I have been in the field of early care and education for over 18 years. I have worked as an infant, toddler and preschool teacher as well as volunteered in the public schools. I have been the director of Busy Bees Preschool since 2004. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology as well as an Associate in Early Childhood Education.
I value my position as an early education professional and take pride in providing quality programming for children from infancy to kindergarten age. I feel there should be an equal balance between teacher and child initiated learning activities and that allowing time for "play" is important as it is children's work. I am here to support teachers, children and parents alike and look forward to all the adventures we will embark on together!
I have lived in the seacoast area for several years and enjoy the changing seasons and being close to beach and parks. We have 8 wonderful children and enjoy playing board games, listening to music, playing sports, gardening, reading and exercising together. Thank you for sharing your children with us at Busy Bees where, "It is more than just childcare...it is FAMILY!".
